On February 1st–2nd experts from the LIFE Help Desk team attended an experience exchange even tin Zagreb, Croatia.
The first day was dedicated to the meeting of LIFE Programme National Contact Points (NCPs), attended by representatives from 12 EU countries. Participants of the meeting shared their experiences with their progress so far as well as current activities working with project applicants in their respective countries. The new LIFE multiannual work programme (MAWP) and plans for the events of 2018 Call were also discussed.
The LIFE Conference on second day, February 2nd, provided information on the wide range of opportunities within the LIFE Programme. The attendees heard speeches from representatives of the European Commission as well as presentations of successes and challenges from a variety of LIFE projects from different countries. To highlight the possibilities for impact on both local and EU policy, several projects presented their “close to market” ideas, socio-economic impact, as well as LIFE programme synergies in the EU context.
The event was organised by the Croatian Ministry of Environment and Nature Protection within the “Capacity Building for Croatia’s National CP for the LIFE programme” project.
